What is Patina? Tracking a term into the world of historic vehicles
In 2005 Dr Gundula Tutt formed OMNIA Restoration, a business focussed on the conservation and restoration of paints and coatings, leather, textiles, and other materials used on historic vehicles. In addition to ongoing work on projects for a range German and international collectors, Gundula has presented numerous papers and seminars and is a co-author of the Charter of Turin and other publications relevant to conservation of historic vehicles. In 2018 she gave a presentation at the World Forum for Motor Museums and has produced a thought-provoking article on ‘Patina’ based on a talk given at the “Drive History” Conference in April 2018 organized by the Historic Vehicle Association (HVA) in Allentown / USA.
